Bonsall Energy Group is delighted to offer local people access to a free, certified Climate Literacy course. The one day course will take place on 23 March at Bonsall Village Hall.
The Climate Literacy course takes participants through a series of modules, covering the basics of climate change, climate equity & carbon footprints, achieving a zero-carbon future, becoming change agents and taking action.
Last day to sign up is Tuesday, 19 March.
This is a great opportunity for those interested in careers or volunteer work related to climate change and climate action, and especially young people in Bonsall and the surrounding villages. It is certified by the Carbon Literacy Project, an initiative recognised as one of 100 worldwide Transformative Action Programs by the UN at COP21 in Paris.
Numbers are limited, so please express your interest via this form ASAP. Priority will be given to young people and those interested in climate-related careers and or doing relevant volunteer activities.
The course will begin at 09:30 (so please try and be at the village hall before 09:15) and should finish by 16:30. Lunch will be provided.
Change Agents – a UK charity who promote public awareness and understanding of climate change and the principles of sustainability as well as how to put them into practice in life and work – will deliver the course. A huge thanks to them and Derbyshire Dales Community Energy for making this course available to Bonsall Energy Group at no cost!
Note: the course was initially only available to Bonsall residents but was opened wider on 27 Feb 2024 as there were still places available and we wanted to make sure that as many people as possible benefit from the opportunity.
